I am the merchandizing supervisor for a shop that delivers meat and produce to restaurants. It’s pretty demanding, as the tiniest deviation from their requirements usually has me scrambling to fix the situation. If what I give them isn’t what they need, then it’s almost always a do-over, or else I risk the client going to someone else.

I handle the merchandise itself, and just check on my people a few times a day, usually before I go home from work. I was able to get approval in seconds, and the cash in hand the same day.

A few weeks ago when I was getting off work, I got a call from my sister. She told me my Mom was in the hospital and that I should come out there to Chicago to be there with her.
