My mother always told me: love your kitchen, love your husband, and love your car.  Two out of three ain’t bad, I think.

I have a decent career, but with all the breakups and moves and a stupid ex-husband and several idiot ex-boyfriends, my house in South Tucson had crappy appliances and I had crappy credit. Every time I opened the door on that 30 year old avocado green refrigerator, I thought about Commando Carl (the ex-husband).  It’s his fault I can’t build a better kitchen. 

At the very least I wanted a new refrigerator, one that is energy efficient. In fact, I heard you could cut electricity bills by 40% with a newer model.
